A disquisition on poets - Why even read this?

A disquizzzzzz..... snorf... wha? Fall asleep for a sec there?

"Some Jokes just won't go anywhere without a drumroll."

Why eat? Why Draw? Why bother with friends? Take a Vicodin and relax.

You know, I was thinking earlier that poets exist not because we need them to, but they exist because they need to.

I'm not a fuck1ng poet. But my point is that it got me thinking that I don't draw my cartoons for anyone but myself, and I don't even know why I do because I don't make myself laugh. I wonder if poets make themselves feel better about whatever they're lamenting? omg- Did you actually read this whole thing?
