New Website For SPYKER Cars

The manufacturer of (my absolute favorite) exclusive premium sports cars, Spyker N.V. announced the launch of the brand’s new website: www.spykercars.com. The launch of the new website, which offers a contemporary look and quick and easy access to essential information on the Spyker brand and its products, is part of the organisation’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and availability of information to its customers, fans and dealer partners worldwide.

The highly tactile and bespoke nature of the Spyker cars demands a visual and interactive approach. Art director Daniel Sytsma took the challenge and created a new visual identity for Spyker Cars. Amsterdam based web agency thispagecannotbefound.com created the all new website. The website is incorporating the latest technologies to ensure the site is accessible and highly interactive on tablets in particular. A dedicated version for smartphones will follow early next year.

The website offers a photo-rich overview of the Spyker C8 Aileron; you can ‘swipe’ through various images of the interior- and exterior, change the colour and wheel combinations and start the engine to listen to it’s V8 rumble.

There is a dedicated interactive section on the brand's rich racing- and aviation heritage and a ‘brand-overview’ showcasing partnerships with, amongst others, Koga, Louis Vuitton, Chronoswiss and various Hollywood movie productions.

For the press there is a section that allows for easy downloading of press materials and an overview of the latest product & company news. Investors and the financial press have direct access to the latest financial reports and corporate information.

“The launch of the all new website is an important step forward in Spyker’s web presence” says Victor R. Muller, Spyker Cars founder and CEO. “Our website visitors want to experience what the products-, the brand- and its rich heritage are about and that is why we have chosen for this experience and design-led approach. Daniel’s designs reflect the brand very well and thispagecannotbefound.com did a great job in turning Daniel’s designs into this elegant website. I am looking forward to partnering with Daniel andthispagecannotbefound.com in the future. The launch is scheduled to coincide with the ramp-up of the production of the Spyker C8 Aileron, in Zeewolde and a proper web strategy is key in our effort to communicate with our fans and customers. Spyker will intensify the investment in new web based marketing & communication tools as it moves forward.”

Daniel Sytsma, art director: “to give such an exclusive car brand like Spyker the unique look it deserves, started out redefining their corporate identity. We created a clean style that combines their beautiful photography with a new typography treatment. Online, the style is enriched by an interface that is all about the details.”

Jordi Buskermolen, thispagecannotbefound.com: “we create a vast amount of corporate websites and campaigns each year but we really wanted to take upon this job for Spyker Cars. Obviously it is one of the greatest Dutch brands and we are all really proud that we were selected by Spyker to build their new website.”

About Spyker Cars: Beginning in 1880 as a coach builder, Spyker produced its first motorcar in 1898. From its earliest days Spyker cars have been known as powerful and exclusive, many of them establishing speed records. During the great war the company built fighter aircraft and aircraft engines. The Spyker Company ceased trading in 1925, but its brand name and reputation for technologically advanced, exotic and dependable cars has been passed on to the new Spyker company and its cars. Spyker Cars was revived in 2000 as a Dutch manufacturer of handcrafted, luxury sports cars. The racing and aviation heritage of the early cars has been carried over to contemporary Spykers, which also benefit from experience gained by participating in events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The company’s slogan, introduced in 1914, “Nulla tenaci invia est via: For the tenacious no road is impassable” continues to be used on its distinctive propeller and wheel logo. Spyker Cars is listed on the NYSE Euronext Amsterdam. Additional information can be found on Spyker Cars’ website: www.spykercars.com
